Koraput: Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Dr. Mrinalini Darswal has conducted an extensive tour across the tribal heartland of Koraput to review grassroots welfare initiatives.
Accompanied by District Collector Shri Manoj Satyawan Mahajan and the dedicated Team Koraput, the Secretary focused on the health, nutrition, and empowerment of women and children in the region.
The high-level visit included a stop at the Bageipadar Anganwadi Center where Dr. Darswal engaged directly with young children and frontline workers.

She assessed the delivery of essential services and the quality of early childhood care. Continuing her tour of Jeypore, she visited the Utkala Balashram to interact with the residents and ensure their well-being and developmental needs are being met effectively.
Emphasizing the importance of nutrition and local livelihoods, Dr. Darswal also inspected the Ekamra Anganwadi Center and the Chhatua preparation unit managed by the Maa Kanak Durga Self-Help Group.

During her time at the production center, she observed the preparation process of the nutritional supplement and spoke with the women entrepreneurs about the economic impact of their work.
This field visit underscores the state government commitment to strengthening the safety net for vulnerable populations in tribal zones through direct administrative oversight and community engagement.
