Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg chaired a board meeting to review the performance of Odisha DISCOMs including TPCODL, TPNODL, TPSODL, and TPWODL for the period ending December 31, 2025.

Principal Secretary Energy and E&IT, Shri Vishal Kumar Dev and Members of the Board Of Directors of DISCOMS were present.

During the review, the Chief Secretary emphasized a commitment to strengthening power distribution infrastructure and improving the overall consumer experience.

The meeting highlighted the importance of capital investment in network modernization and technology-led initiatives to build a resilient distribution system.

Discussions also focused on the timely execution of government-funded projects that align with national priorities for energy sustainability and efficiency. The progress of the smart metering program was specifically reviewed for its role in enabling transparent billing and improved energy accounting.

Smt. Garg underscored the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and the Utility Led Aggregation model to accelerate rooftop solar adoption.

Regarding operational safety, the Chief Secretary pushed for a zero-fatality goal through the use of the Surakhya Kavach App. This application is designed to ensure real-time safety, emergency response, and coordinated monitoring of field staff during power restoration and disaster management.

Operational performance goals were set with a focus on reliability enhancement through automation and preventive maintenance to improve SAIDI, SAIFI, and AT&C metrics.
