Bhubaneswar: In a proud moment for the Odisha Police force, several of its personnel have been recognized with prestigious President’s Medals for their exceptional service and gallantry.
The awards, which include the President’s Medal for Gallantry, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, and the Medal for Meritorious Service, highlight the dedication and bravery of the state’s police officers.
Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi presented the Medals in the ceremony organized here on 15 August.
Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja, ACS Home, Shri Satyabrat Sahu, DGP Shri Y B Khurania, DG Fire Services, Shri Sudhanshu Sarangi and DG Prisons, Susant Nath graced the occasion.
President’s Medal for Gallantry. The recipients are:

- Pabitra Kumar Sahoo, Havildar (Armed), Special Operation Group, Chandaka, Bhubaneswar.

- Kabi Chandra Rout, Commando, OSAP 1st Bn, Dhenkanal.

- President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. The honorees are:

- Shri Satyabadi Mallick, Constable, Urban Police & Traffic Training Institute, Bhubaneswar.
- Medal for Meritorious Service. The recipients are:
