Collaboration For Viksit Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary Usha Padhee spearheaded a collaborative review meeting, bringing together top officials from the Commerce & Transport and Housing & Urban Development Departments. The core agenda centered on amplifying the synergy between their respective initiatives, directly supporting the Chief Minister’s vision for a Viksit Odisha.

A key focus of the discussion involved ensuring the prompt release of pensions under various social security programs, underscoring the government’s steadfast dedication to the dignity and well-being of its elderly and vulnerable populations. Furthermore, the review stressed the vital need to fortify operations and maintenance (O&M) protocols, particularly within urban infrastructure and transport services, to guarantee their long-term viability and consistent service delivery.

The meeting also illuminated the transformative power of technology and integrated data systems in bolstering administrative efficiency. Real-time monitoring and data-driven governance emerged as crucial instruments for enhancing transparency, facilitating well-informed decision-making, and ultimately improving service quality across all sectors.

Smt. Padhee emphasized the significance of seamless inter-departmental collaboration and results-driven planning in fostering development that is inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. She reiterated that innovation, the strengthening of institutional capabilities, and meaningful citizen participation must be the cornerstones of a future-ready Odisha. “The alignment of objectives across departments is fundamental to building an Odisha that is not only developed but also equitable and efficient. Our priority remains the establishment of systems that deliver with speed, empathy, and accountability,” she affirmed.

This joint review reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to transformative governance aimed at empowering communities and establishing a strong foundation for Odisha’s sustained and inclusive progress.
