Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted the 19th session of the CM Grievance Hearing program at the Grievance Cell in Unit-2, Bhubaneswar.
He was joined by six senior cabinet ministers and several top administrative officers who helped listen to and address the issues raised by the public.
As usual, the Chief Minister began his morning by meeting people with disabilities and severe illnesses who were waiting outside, taking their petitions and directing officials to take immediate action before moving inside to hear registered citizens.
During the session, the Chief Minister highlighted that close monitoring of grievances from the state level down to districts, tehsils, and blocks has vastly improved the resolution rate.
In the previous 18 state-level sessions, 14,331 out of 14,941 registered grievances were successfully resolved, marking a 96 percent success rate. Similarly, district-level authorities resolved 89 percent of the 2,59,213 grievances filed by the end of June, helping ordinary citizens resolve their issues locally without facing unnecessary hassles.
Over 700 petitions were received today through both online and offline channels. In a notable immediate action, the Chief Minister approved financial assistance worth 6.15 lakh rupees via a single-window system for 12 individuals suffering from critical illnesses. Speaking to the media, he reaffirmed that his government is deeply connected to the people and considers serving their everyday needs as its highest priority.
The event saw active participation from key cabinet members, including Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, and Fisheries Minister Gokulananda Mallik.
Senior bureaucrats, including Home Department ACS Shri Hemant Sharma, CM ACS Shri Saswat Mishra, PS to CM Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo and General Administration Principal Secretary Shri Suresh Kumar Vashishth, were also present to supervise the proceedings.
