Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has officially launched “Pragati Prabaha,” the state government’s official mouthpiece, during a ceremony held at his residential office. Published by the Information and Public Relations Department, the booklet serves as a visual and descriptive record of the state’s ongoing developmental progress.
During the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the publication in documenting the growth of Odisha and expressed his gratitude to the Information and Public Relations Department for their efforts.
A significant highlight of the launch was the presence of Hrudananda Bishi, a successful young farmer from Lakhanpur village in Jharsuguda district. Mr. Bishi’s journey of agricultural success is featured prominently in the “Pragati Prabaha” booklet. Despite holding high academic qualifications, including a B.Sc in Physics, an MBA, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he chose to return to his roots rather than pursuing a corporate career. By adopting modern agricultural techniques such as drip irrigation and mulching, he has established himself as a “Lakhpati Farmer.”
Chief Minister Majhi honored Mr. Bishi at the event, offering his congratulations and encouraging him to further expand his operations by utilizing government initiatives like the Mukhyamantri Krishi Udyog Yojana, PM-Kisan, and CM-Kisan. The Chief Minister remarked that farmers are the true backbone of the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision and described successful agricultural ventures as the country’s real startups, noting that a single farmer has the potential to support many families.
During a personal interaction, the Chief Minister inquired about the availability of government subsidies and support for Mr. Bishi. To ensure continued growth, he directed the Jharsuguda Collector to provide all necessary government assistance promptly, specifically emphasizing the development of cold storage and agricultural infrastructure in the district.
The ceremony was attended by Advisor to the Chief Minister Prakash Mishra, former MLA Nauri Nayak, Director of Information and Public Relations Anuj Kumar Das Patnaik, and Jharsuguda District Information and Public Relations Officer Krishnakeshi Baliarsingh, along with other senior officials.
