Bhubaneswar : Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said that the Labor portal and 22 types of services launched by the Labour and ESI Department would be helpful for the ease of doing business.
“It would also make an important contribution to the overall industrial growth in the State,” he said while launching these services.
Secretary to Chief Minister V K Pandian moderated the discussion.
The Chief Minister said that the portal would provide information on various labor laws to the public, adding that it would benefit various industries, business establishments, small businesses and the public.
Mr.Patnaik advised the officials and staff of the Department of Labor and Employees Insurance to provide services within the stipulated time frame with a service mindset.
Labour and ESI Minister Sushant Singh said that the new portal and online service will help in building an industrialized State.
“The department is working tirelessly to implement the Chief Minister’s plan”, Mr.Singh said on the occasion.
He pointed out that the new portal has been set up as part of the 5-T Initiative of the State Government to promote the simplification of business processes.
In addition, information can be obtained from the portal about the form, the application process for various services and the amount of payment, including Labor Law under the department.
Principal Secretary Labor and ESI, Chitra Armugam and Labour Commissioner N Thirumalla Nayak also spoke on the occasion.

Among others Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Principal Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Industries Satyabrata Sahoo, Principal Secretary Industries Hemant Sharma were present on the occasion.
