Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi lauded ‘Rashtradeep’ for its significant role in nurturing national ideology, addressing the newspaper’s 60th-anniversary celebration.
The CM emphasized that strong, influential media outlets are crucial for both the country and the state, and praised Rashtradeep as a “bright beacon” in Odia Journalism.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the challenges faced by media and journalists in Odisha, stating that his government is aware and actively considering solutions to these problems. He underscored the media’s vital function as the “eyes and ears of society,” reflecting public expectations from the government. The CM urged media outlets to adopt a more professional and responsible approach to benefit both themselves and society.
Dr. Ram Madhav, a writer, thinker, and Chairman of the India Foundation, served as the keynote speaker. He commended ‘Rashtradeep’ for consistently upholding national interests and promoting national consciousness amidst a changing society.
The event was attended by Rashtradeep President Shri Anup Kumar Bose, Editor Shri Chittaranjan Mohapatra, and Management Committee Secretary Shri Satyanarayan Mishra. Smt. Pragya Paramita Acharya moderated the event.
