Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep grief over the demise of former Union Minister Debendra Pradhan.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said that the Shri Pradhan was a popular public leader and an able parliamentarian. He had discharged his duties as the Union Minister for Transport and Agriculture from 1999 to 2001 with great skill.
As a public representative and MP, he had become the object of admiration of the common people by doing many welfare works. He has made an important contribution to the development of the state.
As the President of the State BJP, the late Pradhan had made an important contribution to the development of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Odisha by taking a strong lead. He dedicated his entire life for the development of the state with a spirit of service and determination. The Chief Minister said that the country and the state have lost a distinguished public servant due to the demise of this senior figure.
Expressing his condolences to his son and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the rest of the family, the Chief Minister said that may God give them the strength to bear this terrible loss.
The Chief Minister spoke to Union Minister Shri Pradhan over the phone and expressed his condolences. The Chief Minister prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
