Jajpur: Drawing from his own roots as a teacher, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi attended the platinum jubilee celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of PM Shri NC Government High School in Vyasanagar, Jajpur district. Bringing a personal perspective to the event, the Chief Minister announced that all necessary requirements for the improvement and beautification of the school would be addressed through a systematic development plan.
Describing the occasion as historic, the Chief Minister highlighted that since its establishment in 1945, the school has played a pivotal role in shaping generations of responsible citizens and remains a strong pillar of education in Jajpur. He remarked that the institution has created a golden chapter in the educational landscape of the region.
Expressing satisfaction over the school’s inclusion in the PM Shri scheme, the Chief Minister stated that it is being developed into a model institution equipped with modern infrastructure, digital classrooms, and smart learning facilities. He emphasized that the school will emerge as a benchmark for quality education focused on holistic development.
Stressing the importance of all-round growth for students, the Chief Minister noted that the purpose of education extends beyond securing marks or employment; it is about character building and imparting essential life skills. Referring to the National Education Policy 2020, he underscored the need to focus on creativity, skill development, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Defining confidence as the key to success, he encouraged students to dream big and adopt duty, dedication, and sincerity as their life philosophy. With the matriculation examinations approaching, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes and advised students to follow the insights from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha, suggesting they prepare with patience rather than under pressure. He reminded them that success requires continuous effort and that failure should be viewed as a stepping stone.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to strengthening the education system, the Chief Minister highlighted that the state has prioritized education with significant budget allocations. He mentioned that Shishu Batikas have been introduced in 45,000 schools to strengthen early childhood education. Furthermore, secondary schools are implementing aspirational curricula, project-based learning, and coding skills. He also shared that under the Godabarisha Mishra Adarsha Prathamika Bidyalaya Yojana, 2,200 model primary schools are being constructed in the first phase with an investment of 12,000 crore rupees, alongside a heritage school scheme dedicated to developing institutions over 100 years old.
