Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has purchased tickets for the upcoming high-voltage T20 International cricket match between India and South Africa, scheduled to be held at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on December 9.
Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) President Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty met the Chief Minister at his residence to facilitate the purchase and discuss the comprehensive arrangements made for spectators.
OCA Chief Shri Mohanty, an ace sports promoter, also presented a bouquet to the popular Chief Minister during the meeting. Secretary OCA Shri Sanjay Behera was also present.
Chief Minister Shri Majhi, who is known for his keen interest in and sincere promotion of sports in the state, had earlier reviewed the match preparations on November 12. OCA President Shri Mohanty has assured foolproof arrangements and sought kind support of the State Government for the International Match.

Chief Minister Shri Majhi had directed the OCA and the State Administration to ensure flawless arrangements, emphasizing that Odisha must uphold its reputation for successfully hosting international sporting events.
Officials provided the Chief Minister with a detailed presentation on various crucial aspects, including ticket sales, crowd management, fire safety, parking, and traffic control.
A significant point of discussion was the plan for uninterrupted lighting, which includes the installation of new monitoring software, the deployment of additional generators, and instant-activation backup systems to guarantee continuous power supply.
In a traditional and respectful gesture, the first ticket of the much-anticipated India vs South Africa T20 match was offered to Lord Jagannath, seeking divine blessings for the smooth and successful conduct of the game.
