CM Buys 1st Cricket Ticket

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi today purchased the first ticket for the India-England ODI match to be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on February 9.

Acting President of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, Secretary Sanjay Behera and Angul MLA Pratap Pradhan met the Chief Minister and presented him the first ticket for the ODI here at Lok Seva Bhawan.

Odisha Olympic Association (OOA) secretary Abhijit Pal and former MLA Lalitendu Mohapatra were also present on the occasion.

The India-England One Day International (ODI) is scheduled to be held at Barabati stadium of Cuttack on February 9. Following purchase of the first ticket by the CM, tickets will soon be available for others, Mohanty said.

With a capacity of 44,524, Barabati Stadium promises an electric atmosphere as fans gather to cheer on their favorite teams. The England match will be the second of the three-game series in India.

Barabati Stadium has a rich history of hosting memorable ODI matches, with India boasting a strong track record at this venue.

The last ODI held here was between India and West Indies in December 2019, where India emerged victorious. This upcoming clash against England promises another chapter in Barabati’s cricketing legacy.
