New Delhi: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Odisha held a crucial interactive session in the national capital with 14 Members of Parliament (MPs) from the state to chart a course for accelerating Odisha’s socio-economic development.

The meeting, which included members of the CII Odisha State Council, underscored the importance of a strong collaborative partnership between the government and the industrial sector.

The discussions focused on four key areas identified as pivotal to Odisha’s growth trajectory. These included:

  • Tourism: Developing the state’s tourism potential by leveraging its unique cultural heritage and natural landscapes.
  • Agro-based Industries: Promoting the sector to boost value addition and improve rural incomes.
  • MSME Support: Ensuring micro, small, and medium enterprises have better access to finance and technology to thrive.
  • Regional Growth: Strategically mapping district-wise industrial potential to attract targeted investments and ensure balanced development across the state.

Moderated by Mr. Sunil Gupta, Chairman of the CII Odisha State Council, the session saw active participation from all attending MPs, CII members, and senior industry leaders. The consensus was that a coordinated effort among government, industry, and local communities is vital for achieving inclusive and sustainable development.
