Chhuria Files Nomination

Nuapada: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Snehangini Chhuria filed her nomination papers today for the Nuapada Assembly by-election at the office of the Nuapada Sub Collector. She was accompanied by a large gathering of BJD workers, supporters, and senior leaders.

Following the nomination, Smt.Chhuria addressed the media, expressing her profound gratitude to former Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Shri Naveen Patnaik for selecting her as the party’s candidate. She also thanked all the people of Nuapada—old and young, men and women, people of all castes and communities—as well as the BJD workers and supporters for their unwavering trust and backing.

Shr declared that her journey for the development of the Nuapada region has now earnestly begun and she pledged to work tirelessly for its populace. Highlighting the party’s ethos, she stated that the Biju Janata Dal is committed to service and public welfare.

She proudly recalled that Nuapada district was formed during the tenure of Odisha’s legendary leader and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik. She further asserted that significant development in education, healthcare, irrigation, and transportation has been achieved in the Nuapada area during the tenure of Shri Naveen Patnaik as the Chief Minister.

The BJD candidate noted that all sections of the population, including tribals, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes, are benefiting from Shri Naveen Patnaik’s schemes. She contrasted this with the current situation, claiming that development has stalled in Nuapada and the entire Odisha during the 16 months the BJP has been in power.

“The double engine government is doing double destruction instead of double development,” she stated. Smt.Chhuria expressed being wholeheartedly welcomed by the people of Nuapada and vowed to work relentlessly to keep their hope alive.

Meanwhile, Congress candidate Ghasiram Majhi and BJP candidate Jay Dholakia have already filed their nomination papers for the upcoming by-election.
