Bhubaneswar: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to discuss departmental activities and the integration of the Ama Sathi chatbot into public service delivery.
During the session, the Minister directed officials to make the existing WhatsApp-based chatbot more user-friendly and people-centric to streamline revenue-related services.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee outlined details on the program.
The primary objective of upgrading the Ama Sathi chatbot is to ensure that citizens can easily report grievances to the administration and receive prompt assistance. Through this platform, people can lodge complaints or highlight issues directly via WhatsApp. Once submitted, Tehsildars and relevant officials can access these grievances to take immediate action. To maintain accountability, the entire process will be monitored by Additional Chief Secretary, Dr.Padhee.
To support this digital initiative, the Revenue Department plans to appoint dedicated staff to manage the WhatsApp service delivery process. Following the resolution of any complaint, the system will also collect feedback from the public to ensure satisfaction and transparency.
Furthermore, the government has decided to include training on the Ama Sathi chatbot and grievance redressal for newly recruited OAS and ORS officers currently undergoing induction at the Revenue Officers’ Training Institute (ROTI). Moving forward, virtual training sessions will be conducted for all Tehsildars and revenue officials across the state to enhance administrative efficiency.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, emphasized that the department is committed to making revenue services easily accessible to all citizens. The meeting was attended by several senior officials from the department who discussed the technical and operational aspects of these upcoming improvements.
