Bargarh: Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha, Nikunja Bihari Dhal has alerted the District Magistrates and DEOs about the Heat Wave conditions likely to prevail during elections.
Shri Dhal seems concerned about tough environmental situation while reviewing the election preparedness of Bargarh district on Friday.
CEO advised District Magistrates to make all arrangements to meet heat wave conditions during poll period.
He also advised that welfare of polling personnel needed to be looked into.
RDC Northern Division Srikanta Prusty, who is accompanying CEO Shri Dhal was present during the review meeting.
IGP Himanshu Lal, District Collector Aditya Goyal, SP, ADM, Tahsildars, SDPOs and other officers were present.
CEO Shri Dhal made visits to counting halls and strong rooms and advised for appropriate procedures to be followed for dispersal and receive of election materials and counting.
He advised all officers for free, fair and impartial poll and to have a text book election.
Shri Dhal advised them that the outcome should be zero casualties, zero repolling, enhanced participation, no inducements, reduced campaign flutters, curbing of fake news quickly.
District Magistrate Shri Goyal responded positively and presented details on poll preparedness.
Shri Goyal is an honest and hardworking mandarin and has the team spirit approach, for which Bargarh District officials are working in a team, feel observers.
