Cabinet Clears Mahima Mandap

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet today gave its nod to a significant development project aimed at transforming Mahima Gadi and constructing a new Bhavya Sunya Mandapa at Joranda in Dhenkanal district.

This long-awaited initiative is set to fulfill a key demand of the local populace and is expected to substantially boost tourism in the region, leading to overall economic growth.

The ambitious project, initially estimated at Rs. 240.01 Crore, will now be executed by M/s Iron Triangle Limited, whose final negotiated offer of Rs. 171.11 Crore was approved by the Cabinet. Iron Triangle Limited emerged as the lowest turnkey bidder for the project.

The development work is targeted for completion within a period of 36 calendar months, promising a swift revitalization of the sacred site and its surrounding areas.

This move underscores the state government’s commitment to preserving and promoting Odisha’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage while simultaneously fostering local economic prosperity.
