Kalinga Nagar: Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute, under Ministry of Steel, Government of India, Bhubaneswar has organised and conducted its First day of 4 days knowledge sharing workshop as part of its Professional Pre-Programme which has been commenced from 4-7 March at VISA Steel Limited, Kalinga Nagar, Duburi.
In this inaugural session Sandip Mishra, GM (HR) addressed the participants about the importance of this 4-day workshop and appreciated the steps undertaken by BPNSI to train the working professionals i.e. GETs of the company.
Bharat Chandra Sahu, Senior GM (Ferro Chrome Plant) advised Participants to learn the topic from the eminent technocrats which will enhance their quality.
Satyapriya satapathy, Sr. Asst. Professor of BPNSI briefed about the programme schedule. Dr. Shantanu Mandal, Asst. Prof. IIT, BBSR and Shaswoti Mohanty, YP, BPNSI taught the participants on DRI production processes.
Satyapriya Satapathy taught the working professionals about Energy Efficient Technologies on DRI process.
In the afternoon, Dipak Patra, Scientist and Director of BIS regional office Bhubaneswar delivered an extensive class on BIS and HS code of different Steel products. At the end of the session, Dr. Santanu Mandal delivered lecture on Ferro alloy production processes.
Finally, the workshop on Day One has been successfully completed.
