Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI) successfully concluded a highly engaging Knowledge Sharing Workshop on “Condition Based Monitoring and Reliability Analysis” for working professionals from Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), Choudwar, Cuttack, Odisha.
The workshop, organized under BPNSI’s Professional Pre-Program (3P), aimed to equip industry experts with the latest advancements and practical approaches in maintenance and reliability.
The event, held at BPNSI, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 23 experienced professionals from IMFA. Esteemed speakers Prof. (Dr.) Isham Panigrahi, Dr. Ashwini Kumar, and Dr. Itishree Rout led the intensive sessions, providing in-depth explanations on critical aspects of modern maintenance strategies.
Prof. (Dr.) Panigrahi delved into the principles of Effective Maintenance Management, highlighting best practices for optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. Dr. Kumar offered valuable insights into Reliability Analysis techniques, empowering participants to predict potential failures and implement proactive measures. Dr. Rout focused on the crucial domain of Condition Based Monitoring (CBM), elucidating various methodologies for assessing equipment health in real-time. Her session also included a detailed exploration of Oil Analysis as a vital CBM tool.
