Kalinga Nagar: Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI) organised a fruitful Workshop on Stainless Steel Making, Process details, Role of Emotional Intelligence in Workplace adaptability and Maintenance Management in Stainless Steel Plant at Jindal Stainless Limited, Jajpur.
At the beginning of the workshop Rakesh Pathak, HR&IR Head of JSL welcomed the professionals of the BPNSI and explained the value of Professional Pre Program workshop to the engineers.
On behalf of BPNSI, Snigdha Ghosh, Prof. IIT, Bhubaneswar presented important information on the Stainless Steel Making process, various Process details to the plant engineers.
In the afternoon session Simanta Mohanty gave valuable insights on role of Emotional Intelligence in workplace adaptability.
On the second day of the workshop Pritam S. Purkayastha, Director of the Institute presented important information on Indian steel industry and role of BPNSI in the welcome address via video conferencing.
Itishree Rout of BPNSI presented a topic on Maintenance Management. After that, Bramha Deo, Professor of IIT, Bhubaneswar explained various mechanism of maintenance management in steel plants especially the “Predictive and Preventive Maintenance based on Digital Twin Technology”.
At the end Shyama Sundar Tripathy, Senior Manager (HR&IR) of JSL took feedback from the participants about the workshop and concluded the program.
All the engineers present in the workshop appreciated the importance and significance of the workshop.
Shaswoti Mohanty, Itishree Rout and Bharat Prasad Sharma of BPNSI were present in the workshop and Prof. Satyapriya Satapathy, Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute conducted the Professional Pre-Program workshop of BPNSI.
