BOP Celebrates Odisha Day

Bhubaneswar: The Biswa Odia Parivar(BOP) organized a seminar titled ‘Odia Bhaba’ on the occasion of Odisha Dibas in Bhubaneswar today. Presiding over the event, organization president Shri Sajjan Sharma emphasized a dedicated drive toward strengthening Odia Asmita or identity.

Under his leadership, the gathering focused on how the core values of Odisha can serve as a foundation for the states holistic development and global recognition.

Experts from various walks of life joined the discussion to explore the deep-seated influence of Odia culture, literature, and traditions on daily life.

A significant portion of the discourse, guided by Shri Sharma’s vision, highlighted the preservation of the joint family system as a vital pillar of the regions social fabric. The seminar served as a platform to reflect on how these traditional roots provide stability and purpose in a rapidly changing modern world.

The event featured insights from a diverse group of prominent personalities, including cardiologist Dr. Bhagirathi Padhi, social worker Smt. Sujata Singh, astrologer Dr. Sumit Sahu, and littérateur Manoranjan Sadangi. Other notable contributors included environmentalist Dr. Hadibandhu Panigrahi, leading geologist Shri Karaka Mohanty, eminent educationist Dr. Pritipratibha Bhol, and communication expert Dr. Rabi Sharma.

Youth activists and social workers like Rajendra Panda, Soumendra Prakash Ray, Suresh Kumar Sahu, Sujit Kumar Das, Subrat Kishore Nayak, and Swagatika Dhal also shared their perspectives.

The seminar concluded with a collective resolve to undertake more initiatives under the banner of World Odia Family. Shri Sajjan Sharma reaffirmed that the movement to celebrate and protect Odia heritage would continue through future programs aimed at inspiring the next generation to take pride in their cultural legacy.
