Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo has said that Agriculture Budget in Odisha will get Cent Percent Hike.
After taking charge of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment department this morning Shri Singh Deo was talking to officials of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment.
Principal Secretary Arabinda Kumar Padhi and senior officers of the department welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister with bouquets and escorted him to the Minister’s Office Chamber. Newly elected MP Balangir Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo was also present on the occasion.
All the employees of the Agriculture Department gathered to welcome the Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo and he was given rousing reception.
Speaking at a meeting held at the conference room of the Agriculture Department, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo called upon the officers and employees to work together for the greater betterment of the farming community of the State.
He sought the sincere cooperation of all the officers and employees of the Department for the betterment and progress of the agriculture sector and the farmers associated with it in the State. In the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister was briefed in detail about the financial year’s expenditure and its utilization.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo suggested to increase the budgetary expenditure to 100 per cent in the coming days. At the same time, the Deputy Chief Minister suggested that the agricultural staff should conduct extensive field visits and take care of how the use of technology related to agriculture reaches the doorsteps of the farmers.
While Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo visited the eco-friendly premises of Krushi Bhavan, Principal Secretary Dr. Padhi explained the architectural features of Krushi Bhavan and mentioned that the building has been appreciated in the world forum for its eco-friendly project.
