Bhubaneswar: Saffron Veteran Lawmaker, Jai Narayan Mishra today predicted that opposition BJD has no leadership and it will break into pieces in coming days.
Speaking to the media persons here, the senior BJP leader said that BJD leaders are in touch with BJP and will soon be switching camps. The BJP will welcome the leaders who will have a good track record and will not indulge in any corrupt practice, Mishra said.
“There will be only Congress and non-Congress parties in the State. Congress is also dormant but BJD will break into pieces and lose its existence soon,” he asserted.
Union Minister and Sundargarh MP Jual Oram too supported Jai Narayan’s claim. “Several BJD leaders are in touch with us but I cannot divulge the names,” he said.
Similarly, senior Congress leader and former Barabati-Cuttack MLA Mohammed Moqium has also claimed that several leaders from the BJD will also join the Congress after formation of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee.
Many BJD leaders, who have lost during last general elections in the State, are in touch with the Congress and want to join the party, he claimed.
On the other hand, BJD Spokesperson Lenin Mohanty said the claims made by national political parties are like daydreaming.
“Some national parties instead of keeping their house in order are blank firing without any basis. I would advise them to concentrate on fulfilling their primary responsibilities,” Shri Mohanty said.
