Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that BJD will win the election with a thumping majority and form a very stable Government in the State.

The Chief Minister walked to the Aerodrome Upper Primary School near his residence in Bhubaneswar to cast his vote.

“I request all voters, especially young voters to come out and vote. I expect BJD to have a great victory both in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. We will form a very stable government in the State,” Shri Patnaik said speaking to reporters after casting his vote.

Earlier in the day, 5T Chairman and BJD leader VK Pandian cast his vote for the ongoing sixth phase of Lok Sabha Elections and third phase of Odisha Assembly elections, at a polling booth in Bhubaneswar. Pandian also cast his vote by going to the polling booth in an auto-rickshaw.

After casting his vote, Shri Pandian said India is known for its vibrant democracy and appealed to the people to come together and increase the voting percentage.

“Everyone should participate in the festival of democracy and exercise their votes. Let us all join together and increase the voting percentage. I am very happy to exercise my right to vote. Everyone is equal in a democracy. The auto association requested me, so I came in an auto rickshaw,” Pandian told media persons.

Many senior BJD and BJP leaders including MP Aparajita Sarangi, Baijayant Panda, Bhatruhari Mahtab, Santrupt Misra, Ranendra Swain and Sambit Patra casted their votes in their respective booths this morning.

Similarly, Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, ACS Satyabrata Sahu, DGP Arun Sarangi, CEO Nikunja Bihari Dhal and many senior officers have also exercised their franchise by standing in the queues.
