BJD Criticizes Pradhan

Bhubaneswar: Governing Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today strongly criticized senior BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan alleging he has failed to build a single smart classroom in his own village.

Addressing media persons , BJD National Spokesperson Dr. Sasmit Patra, “As a Union Education Minister he has not established a single Kendriya Vidyalaya in the districts of Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Angul and Deogarh. Even he hasn’t been able to build a single smart classroom in his own village. That’s why BJP lost in the Panchayat elections in his own village.”

On the other hand, the BJD Government has transformed high school education through smart classrooms, digital libraries and state of art infrastructure through the 5T initiative.

He is unable to see all that transformation. The Union Minister is actually sad that Odisha has been awarded ‘Award of Excellence’ under the 5T initiative Drink from Tap Mission”, Dr. Patra, added.

“Pradhan’s failure as a Union Minister is well known. He hasn’t established even a single Central Skill Development Center in the districts of Dhenkanal, Angul and Deogarh,” he said.

People of Dhenkanal and Sambalpur have been repeatedly raising the issue of the NH-55 and how hundreds of precious lives are being lost due to its very precarious condition, the BJD Spokesperson said.

He repeatedly refuses to address this issue or speak on this issue. When he is now contesting from Sambalpur, how will he face those families who have lost their loved ones in such accidents?, he asked.

Dr.Patra has made this statement while reacting to a social media post by Pradhan on very poor spending of the District Mineral Fund (DMF) in industrial district Sundargarh.

In a post on X, the Union Minister alleged that the DMF fund meant for the development of education, communication and health in the tribal areas is being spent otherwise.
