Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena along with Team of Officials visited Odisha Biotech Park at Andharua here on 18 August.
Principal Secretary Industries and Chairman IDCO, Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Science & Technology Chithra Arumgam and other officials visited the Park.
This is an Integrated Industrial Park to attract and promote Biotechnology and Bio-Information Technology Industries in Odisha with allied facilities.

With Government support under Biotech Policy 2018 and IPR 2015, Bharat Biotech through its Anchor Tenant Sapigen Biologix Pvt Ltd is engaged for manufacturing various vaccines in Odisha Biotech Park at Andharua.
They have also committed for expanding its scope of manufacturing vaccines for Malaria, Nasal Corona Vaccines etc.
OBPPL has obtained the land possession of the 1st phase land area of 30 Acres from IDCO.
The land for the park has been allocated in the form of a long term lease to a Special Purpose Vehicle, Odisha Biotech Park Pvt. Ltd. (OBPPL), floated for this purpose.
OBPPL has paid the bid value and obtained the land possession of the 1st phase land area of 30Acres from IDCO.
The Park is developed and operated per the Odisha Industrial Policy Resolution 2015 and the Odisha Biotechnology Policy 2018 and in accordance to any and all statutory requirements, officials say.
Senior Official of IDCO, Bijaya Chandra Tripathy, Department of Works, Bibhu Prasad Lenka, Officials of the Department of Forest Environment and Climate Change and Science & Technology attended the meeting.
