BAL Hosts BPNSI Workshop

Balasore: India’s leading Ferro Chrome manufacturer, Balasore Alloys Limited participated in the Professional Pre-Program (3P) Workshop at Plant Site Balasore organized by Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute.

BPNSI, Under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India organized a one-day workshop on Ferro Alloys Making, Sustainability, Energy Conservation in Ferro Alloys Process and Bureau of Indian Standards for Ferro Alloys at Balasore Alloys Limited.

Pritam S. Purkayastha, Director of the Institute presented important information on Indian steel industry and green steel production in the welcome address via video conferencing.

On behalf of BPNSI, Prof. Shantanu Mandal, IIT Bhubaneswar presented important information on Ferro Alloys Making, sustainability-related data to the plant engineers.

Scientist Saurabh Mandal provided relevant references on Bureau of Indian Standards Code of Ferro Alloys.

At the end of the workshop C Nagaraju, President of the Plant, praised the Professional Pre-Program Workshop of BPNSI.

All the engineers present in the workshop appreciated the importance and significance of the workshop.

Shaswoti Mohanty, Itishree Rout and Bharat Prasad Sharma of BPNSI were present in the workshop.

Anjali Chowdhury, Human Resource Officer, Balasore Alloys Limited and Satyapriya Satapathy, Biju Patnaik National Steel (Institute) conducted the workshop.
