Bolangir: Biju Janata Dal Veteran and former Minister Ananga Udaya Singh Deo has urged the State Government for to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Laxmi Narayan Temple and School in Bolangir Town.
After the DPR for the ancient temple and education institution will be ready, allocation of funds is needed as the State Government is providing funds for development of religious centres and educational institutions, said Shri Singh Deo.
Shri Singh Deo has written a letter to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in this regard, while urging to demarcate the land for development and requested fund allocation from the State Government for development of Laxmi Narayan Temple and school in Bolangir town.
The State Government is taking various bold steps for renovation, beautification and re-construction of temples, churches, mosques and other religious institutions for which the people of the entire State are happy and grateful, the former Minister said.
Shri Singh Deo has under 5T Charter and Mo Sarkar Initiative, Chief Minister Shri Patnaik is taking bold steps to fund the temples in a big way in the state and it has brought laurels for the BJD Government.
Recently, the Government has sanctioned Rs. 5 crores to Balangir Assembly Constituency out of which Rs 2 crores had been given for renovation and beautification of various religious institutions of Balangir town.
However, an important ancient temple i.e. Laxmi Narayan Temple and school have been left out, he pointed out.
Shri Singh Deo said the temple and the school are situated on plot no. 231 of Balangir “Kha” Mouza. There is popular demand by the inhabitants of Balangir town for renovation and beautification of the famous ancient Laxmi Naryan Temple and the school.
He requested the Chief Minister to sanction the funds, and ask the District Collector, Bolangir to prepare the DPR of the said temple and the school at the earliest.
