Bhubaneswar: State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meeting was held on 6 September, in which Development Commissioner Anu Garg praised the banks for their good performance.
Against the annual credit plan target of 160,280 crores for the financial year 2023-24, banks have achieved 165,621 crores which is 103.33 percent.
And she requested the banks to achieve the annual credit plan target of Rs 210546 crore for the current financial year.
In view of the 100th anniversary of the formation of a separate Odisha state in 2036, the government is implementing many ambitious schemes with the aim of making Odisha a leading financial power. Mrs. Garg said that with successful implementation of these, banks will play a meaningful role in the development of the state.
Principal Secretary Finance, Saswat Mishra has advised all banks to give priority to government sponsored schemes and sanction more and more applications.
In the meeting, NABARD CGM Sudhanshu K K Mishra, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Sarada Prasanna Mohanty, Executive Director of UCO Bank, Vijay Kumar Aparshi Kamble, Director of various departments including representatives of all public and private banks of the state attended.
