Bhubaneswar: Ahead of its one-year anniversary in June, the state government convened its third annual meeting from June 11-13 at Kharebal Bhawan to review achievements and strategize for future development.
Chaired by Chief Secretary Manaj Ahuja, the meeting saw participation of ACS Home Satyabrata Sahu, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, ACS General Administration Suredra Kumar and others.
Discussions centered on the implementation of various welfare schemes and projects across sectors, aiming to build on the state’s development trajectory.
The Information and Public Relations Department briefed attendees on the past year’s activities, with a focus on public awareness of multi-faceted welfare initiatives.
A state-level conference and exhibition are scheduled from June 11-13 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with the district administration. Various departments, including Mining, Language & Culture, Women & Child Development, Agriculture, and Energy, will contribute to the five-day event, featuring technical discussions, cultural programs, and public outreach.
The government will release a book highlighting departmental achievements, emphasizing village development, agriculture, education, pollution control, and welfare for marginalized communities.
Success stories of beneficiaries will be publicized. The first edition of a booklet, showcasing the state’s development activities, will also be launched. A post-conference cultural program is planned.
Chief Secretary Shri Ahuja emphasized educating the youth and public about the state’s progress, urging their full involvement in development activities.
A state level committee headed by ACS Home Shri Sahu will monitor and coordinate these efforts, with a year-round budget allocated for related events.
