New Delhi: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah commended the security forces for their “major success.” In a post on X, he stated that the operation has led to the complete eradication of Naxalism from the Bokaro region of northern Jharkhand.
He added that the government is committed to making the entire country free from this menace in the near future. This success marks a significant milestone in the government’s sustained anti-Naxal campaign, which has been systematically targeting and dismantling the leadership and infrastructure of the Maoist movement.
In a major victory against Left Wing Extremism, a joint operation by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)’s CoBRA Battalion and Jharkhand Police has resulted in the neutralization of three senior Naxal commanders.
The operation, which took place in the forests of Hazaribagh district, is being hailed as a decisive blow to the Naxal network in the region.
The encounter occurred early Monday morning in the Pantitri forest area after security forces received specific intelligence about the presence of a Naxal group.
A swift and coordinated operation was launched, leading to a fierce gun battle. The security forces, including the elite CoBRA commandos, were able to effectively corner and eliminate the Naxal leaders without any casualties on their side.
