Bhubaneswar: All eligible women will get benefits of the ambitious Subhadra Yojana either on tomorrow or after that, assured Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida here today.
Following the announcement of the date for launching of the women-centric scheme that will benefit more than one crore women of the State, there was a huge enthusiasm among the women to get the first installment of Rs 5,000 under the scheme.
While speaking to media persons here, Shrimati Parida said all the women, who have successfully registered for the scheme, will get the first installment tomorrow, even some of them have not received the one rupee sent on yesterday.
“The one rupee was transferred to the beneficiaries to test the system. Those, who have not received the money, will also get the first instalment tomorrow,” she said.
Shrimati Parida, who holds the Women and Child Development Department, said the process of registration for Subhadra Yojana will continue even after the formal launch of the scheme by the Prime Minister.
There have been reports of cyber fraudsters having duped some people in the name of Subhadra Yojana by sending those links or by making phone calls, she said.
Making it clear that the State government is not sending any links or making phone calls to any beneficiary, the Deputy CM said, while appealing to the women applicants to remain calm and not to believe in any such fraud call or message. All of them will get the amount in these accounts, she assured.
Even if someone is staying outside Odisha, she can apply for the scheme whenever she visits the State, she added.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the BJP government’s flagship scheme on his birthday tomorrow during his visit to the state.
Under Subhadra Yojana eligible beneficiaries under the age group of 21 to 60 years will get Rs 50000 assistance in 10 installments (Rs 5000 each).
