All Set For Travel Bazaar

Bhubaneswar: The Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will organise the 6th edition of the Odisha Travel Bazaar here from 24-27 February 2025.

This premier event aims to boost Odisha’s position as a leading global travel destination.

Speaking to media persons here, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida highlighted the Odisha Travel Bazaar’s role in promoting the state’s rich cultural heritage, pristine beaches, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism offerings. Secretary Tourism, Balwant Singh, Director Tourism and MD OTDC Samarth Verma presented the facts.

The primary objective of Odisha Travel Bazaar 2025 is to aggressively promote Odisha’s tourist destinations to domestic and international markets. The State Government is taking strategic steps to establish Odisha as a diverse tourism hub of global standards, presenting a refreshed vision of the state’s potential, she said.

Approximately 100 Domestic Tour Operators from over 30 cities across India and more than 30 Foreign Tour Operators from 17 countries, including Australia, the UK, Germany, Belgium, South Africa, Spain, and Singapore, will participate in the event, Parida said.

The Deputy Chief Minister further said that the event will focus on B2B meetings between 70 sellers from Odisha’s tourism sector and Domestic Tour Operators (DTOs) & Foreign Tour Operators (FTOs), followed by familiarization trips to key tourism destinations such as Bhitarkanika, Raghurajpur, Puri-Konark, and the Diamond Triangle.

Over 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings have been arranged with sellers. Additionally, B2G meetings and adventure workshops will be integral parts of the event.

Balwant Singh, Secretary, Department of Tourism, shared valuable insights into the state’s tourism policies, initiatives, and strategic vision aimed at accelerating Odisha’s tourism growth.

Shri Singh informed that the State Government is going to formulate Odisha Destination Wedding Policy soon to promote the tourist sites of the State as wedding destinations. Required infrastructure will be created for this purpose, he said.

Sixth Odisha Travel Bazaar 2025 is a flagship buyer-seller meet, bringing together national and international travel and tour operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and sellers from Odisha. The event, hosted at Mayfair Convention and Swosti Premium Bhubaneswar, will allow participants to explore the vast tourism offerings of Odisha.

Continuing its momentum, Odisha Travel Bazaar 2025 will promote Odisha as a leading tourism destination for both domestic and international tourists. The state’s hidden gems are now gaining recognition as prime choices for travelers seeking authentic experiences.
