Puri: With the completion of holy Odia month Kartik, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has lifted the restriction on entry of devotees to Shree Jagannath temple from all four gates.
In a public notice, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration said the devotees can enter the temple through all four gates from Saturday.
The SJTA had imposed restrictions on the entry to the temple on October 18 considering heavy rush of devotees during the Odia month. The temple authorities had allowed entry through the Singhadwar (Lions’ Gate) and the Paschima Dwar (West Gate) only.
The devotees were allowed to exit the temple through any of the three gates except the Lions’ Gate.
The Kartik month ended today and the rush is expected to be normal from tomorrow. So, keeping it in view, the SJTA has taken this decision, officials said.
