Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja today inaugurated a three-day State Level e-Governance workshop and AI Exhibition here at National Informatics Centre (NIC).
During the inaugural session, young scientists from NIC showcased their expertise and creativity across 14 topics using models and simulations powered by artificial intelligence.
In his address, the Chief Secretary cited different examples of use of Artificial Intelligence both in Central and State Government and emphasized that leveraging AI based knowledge systems and other emerging technologies are necessary in accelerating various welfare schemes of the Government in the State.
Interacting with the young scientists who participated in the AI Exhibition, he gave valuable suggestions on how to make more effective use of AI, bring new innovation and to enhance their efficiency.
R. S. Gopalan, Chief Electoral Officer, shared his insights on artificial intelligence, particularly focusing on policy intelligence powering generative AI safety & governance.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from NIC scientists, District Informatics Officers, and staff, who engaged in extensive discussions on the diverse applications of artificial intelligence in upcoming projects.
The programme was presided over by Ashok Kumar Hota, Deputy Director General and State Informatics Officer, NIC, Odisha and Surendra Nath Behera offered the vote of thanks.
