Action Against Agitating Officers

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government acting tough has initiated the process to take action against the Odisha Secretariat Service Cadre officials, who have been agitating for fulfillment of various demands.

Letters have been written to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries to send details of such employees to the Department of Home.

The Letter issued by the Department of Home states that the officers of the Odisha Secretariat Service Cadre have been on strike since February 13. As they are un-authorized absent from the office, the day-to-day work is being disrupted. Therefore, action should be taken against them.


For officials who do not come to work, those days will be shown as un -authorized absent and there will be no work and no salary policy. Also, these days will not be counted on their job days. In view of this, the Department of Home has been asked to initiate departmental proceeding against the officers concered.


Similarly, the newly inducted ASOs who have given their appointment letters but are not working have been asked to send a detailed report to the Department of Home for their termination from Government jobs.


It has also been asked to send detailed information about the new ASOs who are yet to join duty to the Department of Home.
