Bhubaneswar: Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, the Additional Chief Secretary for the Electronics & Information Technology and Energy, Government of Odisha inaugurated IBM Consulting’s state-of-the-art FutureNow Center in Bhubaneswar on March 31, 2026.
During the ceremony, Shri Dev highlighted that this expansion demonstrates the increasing confidence in Bhubaneswar as a primary IT and global delivery hub within Eastern India. ACS Shri Dev is spearheading Odisha’s digital evolution through the inauguration of IBM’s FutureNow Center in Bhubaneswar.
This new center is a cornerstone of Shri Dev’s vision to integrate cutting-edge AI and Hybrid Cloud capabilities into the regional economy, facilitating digital transformation for global clients directly from Odisha.
By fostering partnerships with global leaders like IBM, Shri Dev is ensuring the state’s innovation ecosystem remains competitive and capable of generating high-value employment for graduates from local universities.
ACS Shri Dev emphasized that the establishment of this facility aligns with the strategic focus of the Odisha government on high-growth emerging sectors, specifically mentioning semiconductors, data centers, and digital infrastructure.
The center is designed to advance digital transformation and accelerate regional economic growth by enhancing IBM’s capabilities in Hybrid Cloud and AI Consulting for its global clientele.
Under his dynamic leadership, the state is positioning itself as a primary IT and global delivery hub in Eastern India, with a specific focus on scaling digital infrastructure and emerging technology sectors, admit investors in IT Sector.
