Bhubaneswar : The state government remains continuously committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the youth and making the administrative system more active and people-centric, said Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.
Chief Minister Shri Majhi was speaking at the 17th State-Level Recruitment Mela organized at the OUAT Krushi Siksha Sadan in Bhubaneswar, where he distributed appointment letters to 1,101 new recruits across four major departments.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister Shrimati Pravati Parida, Minister Revenue Shri Suresh Pujari and other were present.
The appointments include 814 Medical Officers and 92 Assistant Professors under the Health Department, alongside officers in administrative and allied services including OAS (30), ORS (42), OFS (46), OTAS (60), and Cooperative Services (17). Within just 27 months of forming the government, a record total of 46,575 young men and women have been inducted into government service through 17 recruitment melas.
The Chief Minister shared a Panchasutri formula with the recruits, advising them to consider themselves public servants rather than rulers, and to give the highest priority to public grievance redressal for the swift resolution of issues faced by common people at the grass-roots level.
On this occasion, a first-of-its-kind age-based Mental Health Guidelines booklet was unveiled in Odisha for individuals ranging from pre-primary age to youth. Prepared through the joint efforts of the Education, Health, Women and Child Development, and Skill Development departments, this guide aims to mentally empower the state’s youth and support their overall development.
