Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has appointed Shri Himansu Bhusan Panda as Member (Administration) of the Odisha Real Estate Regulatory Authority.
The appointment has been issued by order of the Governor of Odisha, exercising the powers conferred under Sub-section 1 of Section 20 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, read with Rule 18 (7) of the Odisha Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017.
As per the official notification, Shri Panda will assume his charge as Member (Administration) with effect from the date he formally joins office.
Shri Himansu Bhusan Panda brings a distinguished background to his new regulatory post. Having previously served in the Indian Ordnance Services, he came on deputation into State Public Administration and subsequently served as Special Secretary in the Department of General Administration and Public Grievance, Government of Odisha. Later he joined Directorate of Ordnance, Kolkata before superannuation recently.
Throughout his administrative career, he has earned a strong reputation for his integrity, dedicated work ethic, and pleasant personality. He possesses deep administrative experience and specialized expertise in Service Law and statutory Acts, making his induction a strategic strengthening of the leadership framework at the regulatory body.
His background in defence discipline and State Secretariat governance is expected to contribute significantly to streamlining administrative operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing the transparency and efficiency of real estate oversight across the state.
