Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary Works, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh presented key proposals to accelerate state infrastructure projects during a high-level departmental review meeting. The meeting, held at Lok Seva Bhawan, was chaired by Works, Law, and Excise Minister Shri Prithviraj Harichandan.
Aligning with the state government’s priority to fast-track development, Principal Secretary Shri Singh highlighted strategic measures to ensure the swift execution of ongoing construction work. His proposals focused on streamlining project timelines and removing operational bottlenecks to maintain momentum across key initiatives.
Minister Shri Harichandan emphasized that funding is not a constraint for state development. He instructed department officials and engineers to adopt global best practices, advanced technologies, and artificial intelligence to enhance the sustainability, durability, and quality of infrastructure projects.
The review covered major state projects, including national highways, the Bhubaneswar traffic decongestion plan, the Jayadev Vihar-Nandankanan road, the Puri heritage project, elevated roads, Gundicha Temple renovations, and eco-friendly building constructions.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including OBCC Managing Director Shri Anupam Saha, EIC and Special Secretary Engineer Shri Samir Hota, EIC Civil Engineer Shri Satyabrata Behera, Financial Advisor Shri Ratikanta Mohapatra, Additional Secretary Shri Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Chief Construction Engineer Shri Manoj Mahananda, Chief Engineer Shri Shibabrata Taria, National Highway Chief Engineers Shri Narayan Patel and Shri Deepak Kumar Panigrahi, and OBCC Chief Manager Shri Sridhar Rout.
