Bhubaneswar: Shri Bijaya Kumar Mishra, a 1991-batch Indian Railway Accounts Service officer, has assumed the role of Additional General Manager at East Coast Railway in Bhubaneswar. He brings over 35 years of experience across railway finance, project management, train operations, and administration to this position.
Alongside his new role, Mishra serves as the Principal Financial Adviser for East Coast Railway, overseeing budgeting, internal auditing, finance, and accounts for one of the highest-earning zones in Indian Railways.
His leadership experience includes serving as Divisional Railway Manager for the Tinsukia Division under Northeast Frontier Railway. Internationally, he worked as Project Finance Head for IRCON International Limited in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, managing major infrastructure projects.
Mishra holds a postgraduate degree in Applied Geology from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. His professional development includes advanced training in financial management at the European School of Business in London and Paris, as well as heavy haul railway technology at Beijing Jiaotong University in China.
His background in operations, finance, and international infrastructure management position him to drive administrative and operational efficiency across East Coast Railway.
