Bhubaneswar: A 14-year-old student from Bhubaneswar, Shreyashi Pattanaik, has released a book titled Life: A Series of Procrastination. The publication was unveiled on Independence Day by Prof. Dr. Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of Siksha O Anusandhan Deemed to be University.
Written in a simple and reflective style, the book explores the underlying reasons behind procrastination, moving beyond the common misconception that it stems purely from laziness.
Ms.Pattanaik, a Class Nine student at DAV Public School, Pokhariput, examines how fear, uncertainty, perfectionism, and the habit of postponing dreams shape daily behavior. The central message encourages students and young dreamers to take action without waiting for perfect conditions, emphasizing that starting is the most crucial step.
Ms.Pattanaik is the daughter of Dr. Sovan Pattanaik, Associate Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SOA, and Dr. Jasmin Panda, Head of Pharmacy at IMS and SUM Hospital. Beyond writing, she enjoys painting, dancing, and observing stories in everyday life.
Prof. Nayak commended the young author for her creativity and observational skills at a tender age, wishing her success in future endeavors.
