Cuttack: In a major statewide drive under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Director General of Police Shri Vinayatosh Mishra spearheaded a mass pledge-taking ceremony at the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack, rallying law enforcement officers to build a healthy, secure, and drug-free Odisha.
The synchronized initiative reverberated across all 35 police districts, covering every police station and district police office in the state. Under DGP Shri Mishra’s leadership, senior police officers and personnel solemnly resolved to protect themselves, their families, and society from the perils of substance abuse. The pledge emphasized complete personal abstinence from narcotics alongside an active commitment to spread public awareness among friends, family, and local communities.
DGP Shri Mishra highlighted the vital role of youth power as the driving force behind this transformation, stressing that empowering young people is key to eradicating drug addiction. Reinforcing the administration’s firm stance, he underscored the police force’s unwavering dedication to forging a safe and substance-free environment throughout Odisha.
The high-profile event at headquarters saw top brass standing shoulder to shoulder with DGP Shri Mishra, including Additional DGP (Modernisation) Soumendra Priyadarshi, Additional DGP (Headquarters) Prateek Mohanty, IGP (Personnel) Praveen Kumar, IGP (Central Range) Satyajit Nayak, DIGP (Provisioning) Charan Singh Meena, and DIGP (Personnel) Jugal Kishore Bonth. Together with police personnel across ranks, they collectively reaffirmed their resolute oath to combat substance abuse at every level.
