Bhubaneswar: Ahead of India’s Independence Day, Ekamra Vatika, Odisha’s top most pre-school organized a spirited and patriotic Special Assembly centered around the theme “Unki Kurbani Se Hamari Azaadi” at the school premises on Thursday, 13th August. The institution wore a festive and grand look as children, parents, and distinguished guests gathered in large numbers to honor the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s freedom.
Addressing the gathering, former Minister and Ex-MP, Shri Anang Udaya Singh Deo emphasized the crucial role that parents and teachers play in character building during early childhood. Drawing a reference from scriptures, he reminded the audience that Abhimanyu learned to enter the Chakravyuha while still in his mother’s womb, demonstrating how early children absorb lessons from their surroundings. He commended Ekamra Vatika as a premier pre-school institution for providing the right environment and direction to young learners.
Senior lawmaker Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo graced the occasion as a Honourable Guest, alongside former Minister and former MP Shri Anang Udaya Singh Deo.

Little kids from various classes dressed up as iconic freedom fighters, including Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, bringing historical moments to life on stage. The children also sang emotional patriotic songs and danced enthusiastically to national tunes, captivating the audience and receiving overwhelming applause from parents.
