Sameer Hota New EIC & SPL Secy

Sameer Hota, Engineer-in-Chief (Designs, Planning and Quality), has been appointed as the Engineer-In-Chief-cum-Special Secretary in the Works Department, Government of Odisha. According to the official notification issued from Lok Seva Bhawan, the appointment takes effect immediately.

Widely recognized for his polished administrative approach, technical acumen, and commitment to high standards of governance, Er. Hota transitions into a key policy-making and oversight role within the state’s infrastructure development leadership.

His recent involvement in high-level strategic initiatives—including state planning sessions chaired by the Works Minister to establish modern roadside amenity centers across Odisha’s national highways and major district roads—underscores his forward-thinking approach to public infrastructure.

In a corresponding administrative adjustment, Er. Dhyan Chand Nayak, In-charge Chief Engineer, Roads-I, has been posted as the new Engineer-in-Chief (Designs, Planning and Quality), taking over the role previously held by EIC Er. Hota.
