AK Prabhakar Takes Over OFSDP

Bhubaneswar: Shri Anand K Prabhakar, IFS has officially assumed charge as the Project Director of the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP) in Bhubaneswar, taking over the role from outgoing Project Director Shri G. Rajesh IFS.

Upon his arrival, Shri Prabhakar was accorded a warm welcome by Shrimati Rinku Kumari, Joint Director, OFSDP and other senior officers of the project. His appointment follows his return to the state cadre from central deputation, as per a notification issued by the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, Government of Odisha.

An Indian Forest Service officer of the 2004 batch belonging to the Odisha cadre, Shri Prabhakar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Prior to his current assignment in Odisha, he served on central deputation with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.

During his tenure at the Centre, he held key positions including Deputy Inspector General of Forests in the ministry, Deputy Inspector General of Forests at the National Afforestation and Eco-Development Board, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National CAMPA Authority.

In addition to his primary responsibility as Project Director of OFSDP, Shri Prabhakar holds several key additional charges in the state forest administration.

These include serving as Chief Conservator of Forests (P&A) and Chief Conservator of Forests (P&SM) in the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Odisha, alongside serving as Chief Conservator of Forests (Training and Development) for the Cuttack Circle.
