Insta Mantra For Ministers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi advised Union Ministers during the Union Cabinet meeting held on 24 July here to step up their presence on Instagram, urging them to post short-form videos like Reels and share interactive content to engage directly with India’s youth.

Asking how many of his colleagues regularly use the photo and video sharing platform, the Prime Minister highlighted that young people make up a significant portion of the audience on social media.

He noted that static posts alone are no longer enough, encouraging ministers to create engaging content that shows the human side of governance, behind-the-scenes work, and clear updates on government schemes.

The push reflects a strategic effort to adapt public communication to modern media consumption habits. Prime Minister Modi himself frequently leverages short-form video on social channels to share key policy decisions and address major public issues directly with citizens.

By directing ministers to follow suit, the administration aims to make government policies more relatable and accessible to the younger generation.
