Bhubaneswar:Sri Indramani Tripathy, IAS, Labour Commissioner, Odisha & Director, State Labour Institute, Odisha inaugurated training programme on Financial Management for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs).
The State Labour Institute, Odisha, operating under the Labour & ESI Department, Government of Odisha, organized a training programme on Financial Management for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and concerned Dealing Assistants representing all Labour districts across the state.
The training program was conducted in two phases on 20th and 21st July, 2026. The main objective of the initiative was to acquaint officers and administrative personnel with essential procedures, statutory compliance rules, and operational modalities regarding financial governance in district offices.
Senior officers present at the event included Shri Madan Mohan Paik, Additional Labour Commissioner; and Shri Bighnajit Mohanta Mohapatra, Joint Labour Commissioner (Hqrs).
Technical sessions across both days were conducted by financial experts and administrative officers, including Shri Pranabandhu Behera, OFS; Shri Anil Kumar Purohit, OFS (SG); Shri Raj Kishore Mohapatra, AAO; and Shri Bidyut Mohanty, AAO. The experts shared practical insights on government accounting practices, budget execution, audit compliance, and general financial administration.

The interactive sessions provided an active platform for attendees to clarify procedural queries and address routine administrative challenges in managing financial affairs across field offices.
