Rath Jatra In Ghana

Accra: By the boundless, ocean-like mercy of the Lord of the Universe, Lord Jagannatha, the sacred land of Ghana radiated with supreme spiritual bliss as we celebrated the landmark fifteenth annual Grand Ratha Jatra. Hearts overflowed with unbridled devotion, ecstatic joy, and a soul-stirring enthusiasm that deeply touched every single soul present.

This divine confluence was lovingly brought to life through the sacred union of the Utkal Ghana Association and ISKCON Ghana. Together, they wove a vibrant tapestry of universal love, unity, and transcendental devotion, bringing together souls from all walks of life to bask in the Lord’s all-embracing grace.

Utkal Ghana Association President Dr.Deepak Kumar Das, an ardent devotee of Lord Jagannatha has been instrumental in organizing the grand ceremony with the support of Association Members and devotees.

More than nine hundred ardent devotees and well-wishers poured into the holy gathering, their spirits soaring as one divine family. Tears of love flowed and voices echoed with deep emotion as everyone eagerly grasped the sacred ropes to pull the majestic chariot of Chaturdhamurti. The holy names resounded through the heavens, transforming the atmosphere into a realm of pure, celestial joy.

The festival was deeply honored by the august presence of His Excellency Shri Surinder Bhagat, High Commissioner of India, alongside his family. The spiritual reverence of the day reached even greater heights in the afternoon with the gracious presence of the Honorable Mr. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, who joined in celebrating this glorious festival of faith and harmony.

As the ecstatic day reached its climax, the divine nectar of Mahaprasad was lovingly and reverently served to all. Accepting this holy feast, every devotee felt the intimate, tangible affection and blessings of the Lord.

With profound humility, our deepest gratitude flows to every selfless volunteer, dedicated devotee, and generous well-wisher whose loving service surrendered at the Lord’s lotus feet made this grand gathering an unforgettable success. Above all, we prostrate before Lord Jagannatha, praying for His unending mercy to forever illuminate our journey and guide all of humanity on the path of peace, compassion, and eternal devotion.
