Puri: In a deeply spiritual development touching the hearts of millions of Shree Jagannatha devotees worldwide, the Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration has shared a crucial update regarding the sacred Ratna Bhandara.
Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, the Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Administrator, SJTA announced that while the overall inventorying of the divine ornaments and invaluable treasures stored inside the inner treasury has remained paused since May 23, 2026, a sacred and dedicated counting process will resume briefly for a single day.
On July 19, 2026, a special inventory will be conducted specifically for the holy ornaments worn by the deities themselves, including those ritually offered and touched during the auspicious Snana Purnima rituals.
This delicate and profoundly spiritual task will be carried out with utmost reverence, adhering strictly to the Standard Operating Procedure approved by the State Government to ensure the sanctity and safety of the Lord’s possessions.
The administration noted that the schedule for counting the remaining treasures and sacred jewelry kept within the Bhitar Ratna Bhandara, or inner treasury, will be finalized and announced at a later time.
Recognizing the immense spiritual weight of this undertaking, Dr. Padhee extended a heartfelt appeal to all servitors, committee members, and stakeholders, seeking their sincere cooperation and devotion to complete this sacred duty flawlessly.
As the holy temple prepares for this momentous day, the air in Puri resonates with prayers and the eternal chant of Jai Jagannatha.
